How To Gain Friends Online - 2-step Process

By Daria Perse of http://DariasWorld.info/blog

I very much enjoy writing and submitting articles to this website. It has fewer rules than most authoritative article directories online and submitting intels is easy and fast.

The one feature that I like the best though, is the option of adding images. Not only because I take lots of photos myself but also because I much prefer text, supported by corresponding images over (especially) long text alone.

One of the new features that I quickly became hooked on, right after I took a closer look is the networking. Having followers makes a big difference for every piece of text you ever publish because so many more people will read what you have to share. In addition, many more visitors will click on your website or reference links which equals more targeted traffic.

Shortly after getting my first followers I discovered how I can turn the followers into friends and how very beneficial that can be for both parties.

Here's what I do:

1.I leave a note on each of my follower's profile page. It doesn't have to be long, just something nice about them or about their interests. To let them know I stopped by.

2.Follower by follower, I read their published intels/articles/lenses, rate them and when I have something appreciative to say, I do so by leaving a comment.

That's all. This simple two-step process does miracles. When you “listen” to what your friends have to say, they feel thankful, they usually respond to the comments shortly and they want to return the favor. It's as simple as that!

Of course, this reading and commenting does take some time and focused attention but to me it proved to be well worth the effort. I come across a lot of good information and knowledge and I have friends who check out my old pages - and pay attention to the new articles I publish.

I see that you practice what you preach here, Daria, as I found this article in screening and by the time it was published we were already friends and you had visited and commented on one of my intels

Thank you for noticing - and commenting, Janet!! :)

Thank you for the wonderful Sunflower at the end of your post. The picture urged to re-read your article and thus the letters became alive - my heart was bridged to you/to your hearty sharing, where the wisdom was purified with your love. You master the simple sentences into the fabric of the wonderland in between the lines: while reading your text I as if jumped over the time into the world of cheerful chatter where the writing mean the leaving of the comments - the wish to listen and joy to hear.

I don't think I've ever received a comment like yours before - and I very much appreciate it, thank you, Tomas!!

In my opinion, our attention is the most we can give to one another and when an interaction becomes inspiring and uplifting, we get the best kind of relationship possible. I feel very blessed to be able to touch another person this way, thank you for letting me know... :)

Very good advice. Thanks.

You are absolutely right, Daria. Establishing relationships, and trying to give value and support to others is what it's all about.
